Tim Blannings Romantic Revolution book reveals a movement that started 200 years ago and has continued to shape the world around us. He focuses on the political change that took place in France in 1789 when the French people overthrew there monarch that secured independence and freedom and an economic change that took place with the massive industrialisation of Britain. Blanning gives his views on romanticism which gave me another perspective and made me question my own understanding and my own views on that topic. Tim Blanning produces his personal view on the topic of romanticism and gives many facts and opinions on the question if it was a revolution or not. He argues his view but also allows the reader to make a decision for yourself after he produces enough information and goes into great detail for you to decide your own conclusion. He covers a large period of time and fills the book with good amount detail about various important figures throughout the period Like Byron, Wordsworth and Beethoven, that helped kick start and maintain the romantic revolution.
