What does racial profiling accomplish? In all honesty, racial profiling is a waste of time considering terrorism is not occurring in just one specific nationality, region, or religion. Terrorist come in all shapes, color, ethnicity, or religion. When walking down the street in Washington D.C. and you pass a gentleman of Arab or Pakistan descent, does that automatically make that individual a terrorist or an individual with a different cultural background.
Profiling of anyone due to race, color, ethnicity, or religion should not be allowed to continue. There are people who believe it is necessary to fight terrorism, but not all terrorist are the same ethnic group, religious group, or racial group. Right now in the United States of America, we have Caucasian Americans joining Isis to commit terroristic threats against their own country. If everything happened the way it is reported then she did nothing wrong to warrant this treatment. When law enforcement only detained these three individuals and nobody else would be considered racial profiling, because the evidence was due to the gentlemen sitting beside her went to the restroom and they were possibly of Arab descent. The Iron Triangle consists of three dynamics. These three dynamics are Congress, special interest groups, and government agencies. They try to get policies passed that benefits one or all of them. The supreme court either rules for or against the policies. The Iron triangle should be focusing on more issues than what they can do for each other. Congress needs to take a more active role in the issue of racial profiling. Instituting stiffer consequences for racial profiling can lower the chances of it taking place, but if these penalties are not enforced then there is no change racial
