My mother was born and raised in Ethiopia where things are really tough and complicated. She’s found to be the second born in her family of six children. My mother got married in early age in small village called Awassa located in Ethiopia and became a mother of four children, which are two girls and two boys. After we were born my mother got abounded by our father and become a single mother. Since then my mom raised three of my siblings and I by herself. Back then being a single parent in my country Ethiopia is not easy at some points because of the economic standard and lack of education opportunities and many women in that case end up giving their children to adoption and to some relatives so that they can get away from the situations of …show more content…
Also they were supposed to stay home and do all the housework and cook for the family and relay on the man’s money. Men on the other side were the provider for the family. However, things have changed in the past years and the roles have changed as well because both genders have switched their roles in a very different way and women have taken the place of men in so many ways in being the provider for their children. They even have the opportunities to study and do men jobs such as, management and admistration, engineering electrician, owing their own business in appropriate way and carpentry instead of staying home and doing housework and taking care of their kids and depending on their husband …show more content…
She become a mom at a very early age around 16 or 17 years old can’t remember the exact year, but she’s been very young back then. Having two kids at that age is really frustrating and hard because they are many responsibilities that need to be taken care of. Yet, ever since the father of her two children left her in the dark, my sister found a way to raise her offspring without looking back into her boyfriend disappears. She hold her herself together and started looking for a job as hair dresser but my mom I decided to opened up for her a hair salon so that she can able provide her kids with the necerytite of life she could possibly afford, took them to good school, buy them clothes and food. She gave them everything they needed in life without their father
