On March 30, five of the most recognizable names in women’s soccer-Carli Lloyd, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Becky Sauerbrunn and Hope Solo- signed a complaint over unequal pay addressed to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Since this time, the EEOC has not made a decision and this decision will not be made prior to the Olympics. In addition to the EEOC, the players have been negotiating with U.S. Soccer via their collective bargaining agreement.
