The United States of America had declared Independence on July 4, 1776 from England. The King of England was a greedy, selfish, tyrant man. The United States wanted to break away from England because king George the third had refused to give the colonists representatives in the government. Tyranny means a nation that is under a cruel and oppressive government. Once the war against Great Britain had started, each state was like a separate nation and each state had it’s own government. They had created the Articles of Confederation to unify the states because the states were separated and disconnected. Later on the Articles of Confederation needed to be fixed because it gave most of the power to the states then to the National government. The
