Tragedy, by the theatrical terms, can be defined as a concept or instance where characters are brought to ruin by personal flaws or weaknesses. Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet underscores this definition eloquently, provided the tragedy behind the eponymous characters’ romance arouses the controversy of whether or not it was their fault.
