As time goes on monsters and the way we perceive them will change. Even what monsters represent will change as generations go on. When you look at the monsters in the famous epic Beowulf you realize the Anglo Saxons were frightened of straightforward scary monsters that just wanted to kill anyone they saw. Once you watch the 2007 movie Beowulf you realize that modern day society likes when their monsters are interesting and have a personality. It’s also even better when there is drama and tons of problems with the monsters. So as society changes so will the way we want monsters to be represented.
