Minutemen were men in the militia. The militia was a army made the men who lived in the colonies. Their job was to fight their enemies which is England.Men between the ages 16 and 60 were required to carry a weapon and join the army. The militia also fought alongside with the British soldiers during the French and Indian War. Soon after, colonists declared freedom the militia starting fighting with the British Soldiers to win independence.
