Terrorism is a big problem in the world and for most every country it plays a large role in foreign policy. First off what is terrorism, according to Merriam-Webster terrorism is defined as, “The systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion”. What that means is that when a person or group commits an act of terror they are using a system to instill fear to get people to join them or possible be hiding out of fear.
Another thing that would be a good thing to know is what is foreign policy? According to Merriam-Webster foreign policy is defined as, “The policy of a sovereign state in its interaction with other sovereign states.” The United states has lots of foreign policy. They talk about foreign policy all the time around presidential elections. People are always concerned about the president's foreign policy. Drones were first used by president George W. Bush, and were continued to be used during the Obama administration. The Trump administration has used them as well. According to the Bureau for Investigative Journalism, Obama oversaw more drone strikes in his first year than Bush did in his entire presidency. Obama has reportedly said, “All options are on the table when confronting advisories”(Parks and Serle). If all options are on the table, then why not put troops on the ground and search for the advisories? The reason why that would not happen is because that would get alot of backlash from the people of the United
