If Stonewall Jackson had not died, how might the Civil War have ended? Did his influence have a paramount impact on the war? Would the confederates have won if he had not died? Unfortunately, it is impossible to know for sure, but from my analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of both, the Union's victory was inevitable. Jackson was not the only factor in the union winning the war. There were a number of factors that contributed to the victory of the union. The south did not have a strong industrial base. This ultimately resulted in in their subpar weaponry unlike the Union. The lack of the correct equipment for war greatly decreased any chance of the south's victory. Secondly the confederates had a much smaller population of people, and army, and finally one person does not stop the circus, if Stonewall had not died that does not entirely sway the warning favor of the confederates.

The Confederates did not have as strong of an industrial base as Union, this is because the south was mostly composed of Farmland. This gave way to effective and more up to date weaponry for the Union being that they had large factories producing their weapon. The Union had weapons such as the spencer rifle which can fire seven rounds and the loading process was a lot shorter being that you can eject the empty cartridges and reload from the butt. the gatling gun, created by Richard Gatling is a machine gun which can fire 350 round within a minute When it came down to it, the Union was quickly and effectively killing Confederate

In fighting the North, Rebels were forced to fight with the Union’s significantly favored army and navy, as well as their stronger, newer technology and industrial equipment. The South, consisting of fewer states, and less territory, naturally had a smaller population to work with. Additionally, seeing that a large majority of that population consisted of slaves, who were not permitted to fight in the Confederate forces, this population of those fit to fight shrunk even smaller. The CSA, or Confederate States of America, led by Jefferson Davis, brought more disadvantages upon themselves by not only banning these slaves from joining the military, but also forcing them to continue the production of cotton. In doing so, the slaves could not assist in military and wartime matters such as building forts or making ammunition.…

The Union and Confederate fighting styles were similar in many ways, but in certain aspects, they were vastly different. Both sides valued honor and loyalty and frowned upon retreat. Both sides believed they were fighting for a just cause and that they would win the war easily. One difference between them was, the Confederacy had first-rate generals and the Union had more manpower. The Confederacy started more defensively, but as the war progressed they became more offensive.…

Broadly, the Union’s strategy was to end the rebellion by regaining control of the territory that succeeded to form the Confederacy. Because their aim was to conquer, the Union had to fight offensively. Conversely, the Confederacy had to maintain control of their territory, placing them on the defensive. How these strategies were carried out depended on the generals in charge of the armies and on the theater of war those generals fought in.…

As the United States grew in both population and territory in the early- to mid-1800s, it became clear that the Americans were determined to cover as much ground as possible, spreading their new democratic way of life to new lands. While Manifest Destiny is characterized, at its core, as the spread of the liberty and self-governance the Americans fought for, it had more convoluted desires than is traditionally recounted. Americans of all walks fueled the movement towards western expansion, but the power laid favorably in the hands of the “American race,” or the whites of northern European descent (Brinkley 348). Americans who pushed for westward expansion frequently spoke of the benefits of this American race, and refuted the notion that non-whites…

The Union Army entered the war with a strong advantage in artillery. It had ample manufacturing capacity in Northern factories, and it had a well-trained and professional officer corps manning that branch of the service. Brig. Gen. Henry J. Hunt, who was the chief of artillery for the Army of the Potomac for part of the war, was well recognized as a most efficient organizer of artillery forces, and he had few peers in the practice of the sciences of gunnery and logistics. Another example was John Gibbon, the author of the influential Artillerist's Manual published in 1863 (although Gibbon would achieve considerably more fame as an infantry general during the war).…

General “Stonewall” Jackson led the Confederacy to victory. From the start of the rivalry, if war were to break out, the North was in favor to win quickly and easily due to their industrialized lifestyle and well-developed economy. Before General Lee decided to side with the Confederacy, he said, “Lieutenant Green, I want you to pick out a dozen men, good men… I will prepare a message to the insurrectionists, which you will deliver. When they accept the terms, the marines will move in quickly and subdue the men, removing their weapons.…

Seven states seceded from the union just from Lincoln’s win. Realistically, the south would have never accepted the win of Lincoln which makes the civil war inevitable.
