INTRODUCTION:
Social media plays an important role in connecting people around the globe within a minute. The use of social media is rapidly growing among people to build new connections. Although people have their individual cultures and traditions, social media bonds people from diverse culture and allows them to know different cultures and traditions around the world. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube are the most popular social media websites around the world which are widely used for many purposes.

Similarly, nations have the different business culture which affects their way of doing business within the country and at international level. It is important to know the business culture and communications while doing business with the unfamiliar nation. In this report, we are exploring Hispanic nation in Spain, their business culture and how social media impacts their business.
Spain is a diverse country with 47,737,941 population, and have two autonomous cities, Ceuta and Melilla. Also, there are seventeen independent communities which include the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. The capital of Spain is Madrid and the official language of Spain is Castilian. Spain is in the Central European time zone and follows CET (UTC+1) during the winter and CEST (UTC+2) during the summer months. Spain ethnicity is composed of Mediterranean and Nordic types. The government type is the parliamentary monarchy and 94% of the population is Catholic.

The siesta is an important part of the working day. The siesta is afternoon break for employees around three hours for employees to relaxed and spends time with their families. However, it is declining in the larger cities who tend to emphasize more on work. Spaniards are more family oriented and like to spend more time with family. The typical working hours are 9:00am to 5:00 pm for offices. For retail shops, it changes to 10:00am to 8:00 pm.
*Many small shops close for several hours between 2pm and 4pm or 5pm. SOCIAL COMMUNICATION: Spaniards use social media on daily basis and Facebook is the most used social media website in Spain. However, Tuenti is a local platform which has significant numbers of users.
YouTube is also popular in Spain and there are eight million registered users. In addition, Spaniards also like to tweet on Twitter as a local platform to encourage networking at the international level. Organizations and companies are also using social media to build relationships and promote their brands. Digital marketing is playing an important role and many firms are investing in digital marketing. It is expected to consider privacy while disclosing any information on behalf of the organization in Spain.
