The Role of Religion in Shaping Modern Society
In this project, I will analyze on the various religious beliefs and the role they play in shaping the modern day society. To provide concrete information, I will compare the different religious activities in the various parts of the world and its impact on the day-to-day operations of the people that in turn affect positively towards better societal norms. By using both theoretical and analytical techniques, I will be able to present on the impact of the various religious beliefs and events throughout the world (The Buzzle, 2015). The perception of a particular religion by a group of people gives an overview of their connection to the individual beliefs and the effect on their general life. Considering that most religious beliefs emphasize the need for positive and healthy living with the people through the definition of guiding principles, it ensures that the entire society conforms to the expectations hence bringing about a healthy community.

Religion teaches virtues and also acts as a catalyst to moral actions. Religious people fail to do the wrong, even if they know that the police cannot get them, but because of the belief that god is watching them. People thereby behave well and in turn create a healthy society. It has been observed that religious citizens in America are more civically minded and generous neighbors, with about ninety percent of people attending worships donating to charity and of those, 70 percent volunteer for charitable causes. Studies indicate that the effects of religion on society are much more positive than negative; 81 percent showed a positive effect, 15 percent a neutral impact and only 4 percent indicate adverse consequences (HUBBARD,
