The specific propaganda techniques we have incorporated into the poster varies. We used name calling by stating, “Snowball’s regime is a fraud,” to attach a negative connotation to Snowball’s name in order to manipulate the animals into voting for Napoleon. We also utilized the fear of starving to death whilst building a windmill in order to make the poster reflect the propaganda used by Napoleon in the novella and to find a simple way to create a lasting impact on the animals. In order to establish credence and add a bit of variety, we had Napoleon praise Animal Farm under Napoleon's regime after Squealer listed the various positive statistics about Animal Farms prosperity. Embedded in Squealer’s numbers are glittering generalities and card stacking. He generalizes the productivity of the farm by stating, “Our work days are the most productive and efficient out of all the farms in our country,” and he stacks questionable facts to emphasize success. Throughout the entire video, the animals move in a frame by frame style. This creates a happy-go-lucky atmosphere, setting a pleasurable mood for the viewer. Added to the smiling Squealer and the crowded pictures, the video transfers the feeling that going to Animal Farm will be an enjoyable experience. The animals featured in the clip are passive and colored gently so they do not appear to pose a threat to whoever the viewer is, thus making Animal Farm seem comfortable and pleasurable. However, some disadvantages are that print propaganda must attract one’s attention through colors, symbols, word choice, and other things in order to get the message across. In this day and age, it is becoming increasingly harder to create a poster that is eye-catching to the public. Moreover, print propaganda must convey a big message in a small number of words in order to draw a reader’s attention. Therefore, it requires reduced content and a greater amount of pictures, which can be hard to create. Multimedia propaganda is beneficial as it is a convenient method of communication. It has visual and auditory advantages as videos appeal to multiple senses through colors, music, images, etc. Additionally, multimedia propaganda has a wide range of audience members as it is easily spread and viewed through social media, television, and other forms of technology. However, the disadvantages are that digital commercials are easily ignored and forgotten by viewers as most advertisements pass by quickly without ways to access them again other than remembering the information.
