Privilege has been manifesting itself throughout history. The most common type of privilege is given to us because of our gender, race, social class, age, sexual orientation, and disability. It can be hard for some people to come to terms that they were born with certain privilege that some people will never receive in their lifetime, while others may choose to ignore the realities of privilege.
