To begin with, the first sighting of the lack of education the animals posses is when Napoleon starts to control them. The animals were so absent minded to realize that Napoleon was building a pyramid, and placing everyone below him. For example, in the novel, it states “Napoleon denounced such ideas as contrary to the spirit of Animalism. The true happiness he said , lay in hard work and living frugally,” (Chapter 10, Pg 107). With this action taking place, it shows that Napoleon took advantage of the dictatorship and used it to his own well being instead of properly leading them.…

Napoleons dream of becoming a leader had become a reality as he had gained full control and had become a dictator. This is proven when the novella states “they had come to a time where no animal had dared to speak their mind, when fierce growling dogs roamed everywhere,” (Pg64) Napoleons rule had become violent as the animals were too afraid to do anything after “they had to watch fellow comrades get torn to pieces.” (Pg64) Napoleons use of his dogs insures that no animals shall dare defy him destroying there once loved freedom and replacing it with torture, creating a life that was worse than living under the autocracy of the humans. It is clearly shown in this novella that the pigs are easily manipulated as they are naïve to believe the pigs want the best for them, this is shown through the use of dramatic irony. Napoleon more destroys the freedom vowed by Old Major at the start of the revolution as he forces the animals to work and live and be treated as slaves proving Napoleon to be corrupt than the humans as the animals were only working for the better interest of the pigs and for the benefit of the pigs not themselves as they thought that was what they were doing.…

Napoleon does this because the new Commandment infers that the pigs are better than everyone else and more superior. Obviously he is saying all members of the farm are equal, but thinks the pigs deserve preferential treatment because he believes they are better, smarter, and higher class members of the community. After this, the other animals start to feel inferior and powerless, and allow the pigs to rule over them just as Mr. Jones and other humans would. Through Napoleon’s distinct alteration of the Commandments, he further establishes his clear outright power on the farm, and his abuse and control over the other…

Napoleon always focused on the future generations that were to come on Animal farm. He had worked behind the scenes and taught the young the ways of Animalism. While shadowing behind Snowball Napoleon had worked into recovering a litter of puppies that was not later seen until the day of the feuding debate between Snowball and Napoleon when they had come out as a half grown litter of vicious dogs. “ They dashed straight for Snowball, who only sprang from his place just in time to escape from their snapping jaws.” (Orwell 48).…

It started when they began to wear clothing. “It did not seem strange when Napoleon was seen strolling in the farmhouse garden with a pipe in his mouth–no, not even when the pigs took Mr. Jones's clothes out of the wardrobes and put them on, Napoleon himself appearing in a black coat, rat catcher breeches, and leather leggings”(Orwell 135). In addition to this, they began to walk on two legs. When the animals saw this they were puzzled.…

Imagine a nation, where poverty runs rampant. Rations are at an all time low, and people work themselves to their demise, yet they still receive the bare-minimum to feed themselves and survive. However there are those who sit above the commoners, and feed on their hard earned produce. This is the lethal power of corruption, which was also found in George Orwell’s Animal Farm. Since government corruption is a major issue in various countries, new leaders should be sincere, altruistic, and patriotic for the benefit of their nation.…

“All animals are equal.” (Orwell) This statement is certainly applicable to human society, and is the basis for some peoples ideals, but in George Orwell’s Animal Farm it sums up the entire book completely in an ironic way. Communism, while innocent and appealing in thought, was proven in Russia during the 1900’s to be damaging and easily corruptible in practice. Pure communism is the sharing of wealth and abolishment of private property, where everyone works to provide for the state, and receives only enough to sustain life.…
