It’s World War 2, The Americans entered the war in December 1941 and by 1942 they and the British were considering the possibility of an Allied invasion. After a plan was set in motion, the Allies prepared for this massive attack. On June 5th, 1944, General Dwight Eisenhower sent his troops to Normandy. On June 6th the troops landed and The Battle of Normandy began. This day would later be remembered as D-day or by it’s code name, Operation Overlord.
