OTs are directly involved with the clients during the delivery of the services. They evaluate the needs, strengths, priorities of the client. Appropriate goals are written based on needs/priorities. Treatment interventions are carried out accordingly. The ultimate goal is to help client achieve functional independence. Direct services may include providing education, teaching coping strategies, ADLs/IADLs training etc.
