Realistic Human Views with Money In The Great Gatsby, the time period that the novel was set in had a heavy influence on how people interacted with themselves and how they interacted with their money. Money, when used incorrectly, could literally turn someone’s life completely in the opposite direction especially during the time of Gatsby’s inheritance of great amounts of money. Although, some people find that their life is far easier and healthier after they had become rich. If you would need a special operation that would cost lots of money, being rich would be amazing because you could be able to pay the operation very easily (Siebold). Knowing how the ways that money manipulates, both good and bad, will effectively make people happier or more fearful around themselves. Continuing the way to find out more about Gatsby, he would use his good looks and high amounts of money to get though people to try to find Daisy. Whether it would be through mobs or friends he would have used his money to find out more about what Daisy is doing during the time he was making a name for himself. This raised the question of how many friends or comrades he had lost because of money and how he would use his …show more content…
According to the case of Gatsby, he never gets what he wants even with the money that he has. Money can buy fine houses to expensive pieces of art, beautiful pieces of clothing and also the food that would be made out of gold (Singapore Management University). In the end of the novel, Gatsby never truly got what he deserved because he tried to by his way back into Daisy’s life. The parties that he had thrown had all been because of Daisy and many people wouldn’t have doubted that he would have spent numerous amounts of money on those parties until he had ran out because that is how Gatsby was as a man.
