In biology we learned why some animals migrate. They migrate because the benefits outweigh all the bad parts of leaving. I think that is why a lot of immigrants come to America. Americans might not see it like that sometimes, because we take the opportunities we have for granted sometimes, but to immigrants who came from nothing, and lived with the fear of dying every day, they think America is an absolute dream come true. In “Fields of Tears”, the first couple paragraphs talk about how it was in Mexico. The families first born son died because they had no way to get to the hospital that was 10 miles away, and even if they did make it they had not way to get pay the doctor.
