They ate fish, meat, and vegetables at every meal because they considered it healthy. “In the afternoon they drank tea that was called “afternoon tea”(author). They drank tea at every meal. Around three in the afternoon they drank tea called “High tea” which was drunk in the middle of the day. They drank tea and ate tea even if they were poor. The Victorians drank donkey’s milk, rice milk, blood, and ginger beer. The victorians drank blood because they thought it would build up on the sicknesses in their body and heal them. They would only drink the blood if it is hot. The upper class had their own tea that they drank at a certain time of the day. The lower class would drink a special tea and eat it at a different time of the day than the upper class. The upper class was much higher than the lower class.
Victorian people needed to be rich and have a lot of money to eat big and fancy meals. What did the Victorians eat during the Victorian Era?
