Magic is used for good on special occasions, such as when Vivien saves Arthur’s life in his fight against Accolon for, or when Nymue saved Pellias’ life by turning him half-fey, or when Arthur was gifted the round table, created by Merlin years before Arthur was even born. Merlin himself can be be testimony of how magic is use for good in the book. It influences the lives of all the of the people exposed to it. It is used for good and evil, but sometimes it is used not for good and evil, but for neutral power. Morgan le Fay uses her magic to cloak Avalon from the outer world. The Lady of the Lake used her magic to protect the lake from intruders and those not worthy of entering in its proximity. Magic is rarely used neutrally in the book, but but when used neutrally it sets the tone for magic later on. Magic is a huge part of the book, and it adds a lot to the story, whether good or evil.It made me want to read on and on about the story. It is definitely a very interesting thing that adds to the book and in a way, to our non-magical
