Katniss Everdeen’s Hunting skills vs Hunger Games Opponents Katniss Everdeen who lives in a dystopia volunteers to enter a game of death for her younger sister and prepares herself for what to expect, however not everything can be prepared for. Katniss used her hunting skills to kill enemies, find food but still wasn't prepared to kill humans that had not affected her before. Secondly, Katniss was in the Hunger Games arena for along time and she needs food to survive so she used her hunting skills to find where the food is and how to kill the animal if it is living. On page 198 Katniss kills a rabbit for food using and bow, she perfectly hits it in the eye as she does want the meat to not get spoiled (last it for more important times).…

On the other hand, Katniss is from district 12 as known as the minority in the hunger game, she still stand out from the crowd and speak up for the people. According to the book ‘The media studies reader’, ‘’the US have revolved around the question of ‘’minority’’ representation in political and academic institutions. What all these instances share is the semiotic principle that something is ‘’standing for’’ something else, or that some person or group is speaking on behalf of some other persons or group’’ (Ouellette, L, 2013, 208) however, she can not be successes or won the hunger game without Peeta, by playing a romance in the hunger game and fool the game maker and the audience at the capitol. The main characters of this novel are Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, and President Coriolanus Snow. All of these characters are very good at their role but the person I like most was Katniss Everdeen. Katniss Everdeen has characteristics of a very caring and brave person. She is caring because when her sister PrimRose Everdeen gets selected to go to take part in the Hunger games she stood up and volunteered to take part instead of her sister taking part in the Hunger Games. I know this because on page 34 it states, “Crying is not an option.…
