The Role Of Jesus In The Gospel Of Mark

The Gospel of Mark represents Jesus in a prophetic way. In the Gospels of Mark, Jesus is known as the Son of Man, and he is seen helping and healing many of his followers. In one example Jesus is seen healing a woman with a hemorrhage. The woman visited many doctors, and not one of them was able to help her. Her illness was getting worse and worse each day. Word spread around about Jesus, and she wished for his help. Once she saw him she went up to him and placed her hands on his back. Immediately the women claimed that the touch of Jesus healed her. Jesus, taken aback by this action, replied with “Who has touched my clothes?” His disciples made him appreciate the fact that people were desperate to touch him, and instead of asking who touched him, he should be grateful for his presence in the world. Fear was going through the woman’s body and she felt the need to explain to Jesus why she had done what she did, and explain her story. This man’s son would foam at the mouth, and the demon would put him in situations where it was very easy to die. Jesus went to go visit this man, and questioned him on his son. Jesus proclaimed to the man that anything is possible when you have faith. The man responded with how he was a believer in faith, and how he wanted Jesus to cure his son, who seemed to not be a believer. Jesus spoke to the spirit, and demanded him to come out of the boy’s body. Suddenly, the boy fell on the floor, and everyone assumed he was dead. Jesus then took his hand, raised him, and the boy stood up. This is another example of Jesus acting in a prophetic way because Jesus healed an unbeliever and transformed
