The Role Of Isolation In Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis

In the dictionary isolated means to be left alone for a unique quality the one has. Sometimes a unique quality is good but there is other times in which a special quality can lead you to be away from others. In the book Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka it was proven that one of its characters was left alone for a very special trait they had. Just like in the book there is real case scenerios of people who are left to build their own life. Sometimes the isolation given to a person can impact a persons life and their health.
For example isolation can be a limitation for a person to be able to communicate with other human beings. A person who does not communicate face to face can have emotional problems. According to Dr. Stephen Ilardi, social isolation

But sometimes its way more than feeling its the way you act towards the feelings. According to Justin Worland from Time Health, it is proven that just by a person feeling lonely it increased the death rate by 26%(par.2). But then he goes tothe idea that by feeling lonely you can manage stress, improve the immune system and let others get more meaning of their life. By stating these two things it makes us wonder if by the feeling of being lonely is good or bad for us. In Goodtherapy.org it is said that yes people may feel lonely and can think about negative things but a therapist can always help. Therapy is another way to approach feelings because you can relie on a person to understand you. In Metamorphosis Gregor is left alone and to him the loneliness is good because it helps him realize how much he is worth and what possitives he brings to his family. He proves that his family has nothing without him working because his mother cant work, his sister isnt old enough, and his father is just too lazy to maintain his family.
