If you are not one who is born in American and on American soil, there are those who strongly believe citizenship is not your right; it is a privilege that must be somehow earned. But, if we could create a process that falls just short of citizenship it would then sends strong message to those immigrants living here, who work everyday and earn an honest days wage that follow rules of law and live peacefully with their families. Immigrants in America understand a critical component to being accepted in this country and becoming an accepted member of this great American culture is citizenship in any form.
