This paper explores different methods and programs that healthcare administrator can implement to introduce healthy eating in hospital or any medical facilities. The role of health services administrators in healthy eating is to create programs and activities that lead to a healthy lifestyle in our community, teach patients how to be healthy and eat properly. I discuss many point of view for doctors, nutritionist, nurses etc. (CSA). A very common method to promote healthy eating is signing the Healthy Food in Health Care pledge (2009). The Healthy Food in Health Care Pledge has a main goal to eliminate little by little bad eating habits in our community. By following these prescriptions our hospitals play an important role in helping patients to have access to healthy food and decrease disease like cholesterols, heart disease etc. With two-thirds of American adults either obese or overweight, wellness programs can both improve the health of their own employees. We can offer financial programs for those that not have health insurance so they can afford the healthy prescription programs. This is a great start to introduce a healthy lifestyle in our community and step by step we can encourage more people each day to change their habits.
Nutrition and education programs in hospitals will be designed to promote healthy eating behaviors. The SNAP conducted a study to evaluate the effectiveness of six SNAP-Ed interventions delivered in medical centers settings in increasing participating patients at-home fruit and vegetable (F/V) consumption by 0.3 cups per day and use of fat-free or low-fat milk instead of whole or reduced-fat milk during the prior week, results were effective in most of the facilities.

In addition, the HFHC pledge aims to suggest sustainable dishes as well as healthy food and eating practices in every dining operation.
