I have mixed feelings about Vincent’s idea of Guzman being too cocky because although he was careless, he may have cheated his way through the government system. In my view, El Chapo’s cockiness in thinking he were untouchable led to his downfall. In addition, his large amounts of money may have also allowed him to bribe workers in the government to help him escape. Some might object to the government system allowing him to escape many times, of course, on the grounds that the government was established to enforce justice. Yet I would argue that someone of his high position in criminal hierarchy has the ability to manipulate that system. Overall, I believe that El Chapo was able to escape many times through bribery thanks to the corrupted

I agree with Peter Vincent about El Chapo being simple to catch. In my view, if El Chapo decided to remain public, then he was bound to be easily spotted and caught. In addition, I believe that all that heat from people exclaiming that he was so magnificent got to his head and he deemed himself untouchable. Some might object to El Chapo being simple to capture, of course, on the grounds that he still remains in the hierarchy of all drug lords. Yet I would argue that simply being a significant drug lord does not mean that you can’t make mistakes and basically turn yourself in.…

Corruption within the system is a concerning force that holds people back from going to the polls. I didn't vote for a long time because of that very reason. It took some maturing on my end before I started to realize that regardless of what goes on inside the mechanics of politics, my vote still has a voice and it does make noise when I cast my ballot. Texas and the United States as a whole need to buckle down on the blatantly criminal acts allowed to be committed from the President's office all the way down to the School Board of Education and beyond. It seems as if it is an uncontrollable beast because the people who could actually do something to stop it either put on blinders or they are so deep into corruption…

The Sinaloa cartel is the main cartel involved in the distribution of narcotics such as marijuana and cocaine in the United States. In 2013, the Chicago crime commission named El Chapo “public enemy number no. 1” for a city he has never stepped foot, he was the second person to be given this title behind Al Capone (Castillo, 2013). In Mexico, there are violent turf wars in many parts of the country between the Sinaloa cartel and its rivals. These violent conflicts have left thousands dead in a bid to gain territory in order to boost their drug empire. Not only is the cartel directly responsible for the deaths of thousands, it is not farfetched to say that they are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands to drugs and all the lives ruined due to…
