The United States’ claim as a democracy with freedom as its core value is currently in jeopardy. Many blame President Donald Trump who has been known to bully corporations, use his executive power to extremes, and attempt to silence the opposition as described by Aziz Huq and Tom Ginsburg from Vox’s article. However, there is an enamoring curiosity of why the loud, autocratic, and politically uncorrectable man won any vote at all.
