Todays Military force is one with diverse in race. African Americans, Hispanic, White,
Pacific Islander, Native Americans and more. With these races you have different cultures beliefs and religious backgrounds. All these can be tied into leadership, some people take there religious beliefs and there culture beliefs into their leadership style. For some leaders want to do more than lead just for career progression. Others want to lead more personally they see there subordinates as there family there kids even. Some see them as there students this can have huge positive impacts on the organization. This can give subordinates the moral, and feel as if there being taken care of which can improve the work environment. This can be an example as servant leadership which can come with great follow ship. With diverse leadership some people may see what they call “bad” leadership, some see progression as a personal thing and would not want to help soldiers progress more then they don’t need to. At the end of it all it all depends on the person under this leadership style. During World War 2 we had many countries in the world in a huge conflict the Axis powers and the Allies. During this time technology was advancing radio communication was a huge role on the battle field. During this time people in different culture’s that spoke different languages were recruited into the military to help translate and decrypt the messages of enemy units. This caused others to be in a role that they never had been as a leader. Another time during this you had other nations combining their forces to progress on an enemy. On both sides the axis and the allied forces. Causing others to need to adapt to another countries military ways. The
United States had to work well with Great Britain to accomplish missions throughout this time.
That was very Key roles into the war D-Day is a prime example of how the Allied forces had to work well to accomplish of taking the beach of Normandy. Leadership Diversity isn’t just in actions of war and missions but how they lead. Others as a Non Commissioned officer in the United States Army train and lead soldiers as a leader.
They don’t care if a soldier does not like them they lead them train them and guide them.
