The Role Of Demeter In Greek Myth For Children

A man who spreads positive energy is welcome by everyone no matter where he is.
In the 5th story of Greek Myth for Children, there came a woman who was called Demeter, the kind Earth-mother helping care of all the plants, and grains in the world. People loved her very much and obeyed her faithfully. Demeter had a beautiful daughter, Persephone, taken by Hades to the underground when she was wandered in the meadow among the flowers. No sooner had Demeter known the bad news than she became desperate. Immediately, she became a wrinkled old woman. As a consequence, nothing grew upon the earth and all became dreary and barren. Besides, when people turned happy for Persephone’s return without Demeter knowing, she should cry, “Can the earth be ungrateful? Does it soon forget my sweet Persephone?”
By the side of Demeter, the mother of all things on earth, she held the view that everyone ought to share happiness and sorrow with her. That was to say if she was in despair, no one could be happy. I don’t approve what she thought. There is no use crying for spilled milk. Our lives need positivity and happiness.

This poem does not have as good as turn as the poem by Carol Ann Duffy. When Alicia describes the how Demeter saw Persephone, it is a sad description. In the middle of the poem, lines 6-9, Alicia writes “I waited and was patient finally you emerged and were immediately soaked you stared at me without love in your large eyes that were filled with black sex and white powder. ”(Ostriker 6-9) This shows that Demeter can see that her daughter is hurt and this makes Demeter feel hurt.…

If people are optimistic and look for the good in everything, chances are they will get the good in everything, because they chose the ignore the bad. People who choose to see the negative side of things, or are pessimistic, tend to receive the negative aspects or side of things. For example, a person who is positive about all of the studying they did for an upcoming test, will stress less about it, and typically score better than someone who negatively views they’re studying. On the other hand, if someone thinks they did a poor job of studying, they will typically stress about their test, and not score as well. This of course differs among each person, because everyone is different.…

If Penelope and Demeter do not possess positive correlation between their love ones, The Odyssey and Hymn to Demeter will have an opposite ending.…

Though they can vary from tales of a great flood to how the world came to be, the most common and easily-identifiable is the Hero’s Journey. The most famous of these tales, like The Odyssey or the Epic of Gilgamesh, have masculine heroes, defined by traits like bravery, strength, or fearlessness.
