In conclusion, the concept of chivalry has changed over the years, but its basic doctrines remain the same and always will. The tenets of love, faithfulness, kindness and gentleness with a firm hand have been the classic mold of heroes both of old as well as of a newer model and make. To reiterate what has been previously discussed, the Chivalric Code was first mentioned in The Song of Roland, and was later personified into many such ancient tales as that of Arthur and his Knights, as well as more modern tales of superheroes and superheroines.
