Furthermore, accounts and descriptions in newspapers maintained a continual flow of report's which placed Ben Hall at many of the 'outrages', and where as of February 1863, Ben Hall was now actually being identified by victims that were acquainted with him. In all cases, without any sense of honour or civility, Ben Hall puts a gun to their heads and places terror in their hearts, then rips from them their hard earned possessions. On the 27th January 1863, an attempted robbery is made against two gentlemen, Mr Pollock and Mr Evans, both residence of Forbes on the Lambing Flat road by Ben Hall, here, however, Ben Hall is actually named along with O'Meally and Daley as the bushrangers responsible.(see article right.) the above robbery was reported
