In the intrest of the city of Muscatine, Iowa and the citizens who live there, a controversy has arose. Pet lovers and dog owners among the area have pushed the cities government to grant permission to build a dog park. With rental units comsuming 68% of the the city, dogs are left with a limited amount of room for exercise. Owners from all over the Muscatine are rising to attention in an effort to give their precious animals a space to call their own.

Exersice is crutial to animals of all kind. With resedent housing growing at a consuming rate in American cities, areas that allow animals to roam un-leashed are practially unheard of. Quotes from the ASPCA state that dogs who do not recieve the right amount of exercise are more likley to lash
