Guy Kawasaki, a marketing guru that has worked with many successful companies like Apple, Pandora and Google, explained a few concepts FoxTrot will be mimicking during its hiring process. Guy specifically stated that “the role of a leader is to produce more leaders, not to produce followers.” FoxTrot will abide by this saying and when the organization is hiring, they will look for talent who has potential to lead. Guy also mentioned that companies should look for people who compensate for the weaknesses of the hiring manager and the company. Realizing this, FoxTrot is devoted to hiring people who seems to not only mesh well with the culture, but people who are complimentary fits for the organization.
Interview Process
FoxTrot’s interview process is similar to many other companies. Once the hiring managers have found employees they see as potential fits, they will call the candidate and do an initial over-the-phone interview. Structure
FoxTrot’s structure will primarily be seen as a decentralized, flat, and functional structured organization. In having a decentralized organization, employees will be have a greater level of autonomy. When hiring, new candidates are actually attracted to a decentralized organization rather than a centralized one.
