Although there are many era’s in history that may seem pleasurable, the time in history I would time travel back to is the roaring twenties. The roaring twenties is actually known as one of the best era’s in history. Known because the music, the life and style and mass production. There was still race conflict, but overall it was a good era. The Americans wanted to enjoy themselves due to the hard times in WW1. To start off, the roaring twenties was known for the music. New technologies helped to form the way music was created. The 1920’s marked the start of modern music era. This era’s music had the blues, jazz, bands and broadway. The 19th amendment happened in 1920, giving women the right to vote. Although, young females lived differently. Some did jobs like nursing or homemakers. Just like in our era now, the teens in their era did things that made the older generation disliked. They also rode in more of modern things. “They drove cars, played sports, and performed lively modern dances such as the Charleston and the black bottom. To suit the liberated attitudes of the day, modern females adopted a radical new look” (The 1920’s lifestyle and Social Trends). Men’s fashion was more of casual dressing. It was on college campuses where a good variety of men fashion trends emerged. The trends were like youthful and sporty and also went off of their sport heroes. Sports players like Bobby Jones, Johnny Weissmuller set the sports trend and many people admired them, Teens dressed so weirdly, but obviously didn’t realize it at the time. “Through their influences, knickers and knee-high socks, two-colored saddle shoes, swimming trunks, full-length raccoon fur coats, and other sporty attire replaced the more conventional tweed sportswear of the previous decade” (The1920’s lifestyles and social trends). Some kids didn’t only dress like their sport hero but just their job role models. Charles Lindbergh was an airplane pilot and he inspired young men to dress like him. As in just a plain simple leather jacket and scarves. There was a whole lot of fashion trends
