You wake up in a patch of golden flowers. They cushioned you, but you still hurt. As you lifted your head all you could see were dark purple walls, and a shadowy door way. Your legs wobbled as you lifted yourself off the ground. You satred at the door, it filled you with determination. You entered the door to see a small, dim clearing, with one, golden flower sitting in the middle. You got one step closer to the flower and, a face appeared on it! “Howdy! I’m Flowey! Flowey the Flower.” You were shocked, but listened to what he had to say. “Golly, you must be so confused! Here! I can show you the way of the Underground!” Your eyes flashed and everything went black and white, except for this one red heart in front of your chest. “That’s your …show more content…
The harsh, snowy wind hit you like knives piercing your skin. The snow crunched under your shoes as you walked along shivering like there was no tomorrow. Soon you reached a gate looking object. The bars were so far apart, anyone could get through it- (CRACK) You froze. Your blood cold, and you are unable to move.

G R E E T A N E W P A L?” Your knees violently shook, you turned around and touched to hand of the stranger- PFFFFFFT “Heh, the old woopie cushion in the hand trick, that’s ALWAYS funny! I’m Sans, Sans the skeleton.” You smiled at his humor. You enjoyed a laugh every now and then.
“Anyways, I’m supposed to be on the lookout for humans but. . . I don’t really wanna capture nobody. But my brother Papyrus, he’s a human hunting fanatic! Hey, I think that’s him over there. He’s been feelin’ kinda blue lately, so if he see’s you I think it might make his day. See ya a head kid.” He walked off, in the opposite direction? Weird. You shook it off and walked

IS THAT A H-HUMAN??!!!” A tall skeleton yelled. “No bro, I think that’s a rock. . . But what’s in front of the rock?” “(GASP) HUUUUMMMAAAANNN!” You covered your ears when the tall skeleton yelled, this must be, Papyrus. “I SHALL GET EVERYTHING I UTTERLY DESERVE, RESPECT, RECOGNITION! I SHALL BE ABLE TO JOIN THE ROYAL GUARD!” Papyrus babbled on. “STOP HUMAN! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, SHALL NOT LET YOU PASS! THE ONLY WAY IS . . . . THROUGH MY PUZZLES!” (dun dun dun!!!!)
After hours of puzzles, you finally get to the town of Snowdin. It seemed nice, and the town’s folk were quite friendly. Soon you came to Papyrus once more, Sans was nowhere to be seen. “STOP HUMAN! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU SOMETHING…” This seemed unusual, the suspense filled you with, determination. “AFTER OUR PREVIOUS MEETS, YOU HAVE MEET ALL OF MY FRIEND STANDARDS… WOULD YOU, THE HUMAN, LIKE TO BE FRIENDS WITH THE GREAT PAPYRUS?” You smiled and nodded. “JOY! I SHALL GO TELL SANS! GOODBYE HUMAN!!! NYEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH!”
You continued your journey through Snowdin, you soon came to a beautifully lit place. It was very rainy there, but you didn’t mind it. You splashed in puddles and something caught the back of your sweater. “HA! A human!” An armoured monster was holding you up to it’s helmeted face. The only features you could see was that this monster had long red hair, and that it was female, by the voice that you

The tears in my eyes were no longer tears, but streaks of moisture…

The Road by Cormac McCarthy is a novel that diverges from the customary standards regarding format of how a novel is written. McCarthy tends to ignore the usage of quotations and apostrophes and also writes in a splintered fashion especially in the beginning of the book adding the tone of minimalistic times. He never reveals the name of the characters and only refers to them as The Boy and The Man as it is written in third person omniscient though it often seems as if the novel was written in first person which adds to the idiosyncrasy of the novel. On the contrary The Road is extremely detail oriented which immensely contributes to the overall theme and tone of the book in addition to putting the reader in the characters shoes. The Road is a fiction piece about a post apocalyptic desolated world centered around a boy and a man trying to fight through constant fear and inhumane…
