The River Of Doubt Book Report

The most meaningful part of this book, The River of Doubt, I believe is when Theodore Roosevelt decided to go on the journey to the Amazon. This is the most meaningful part to me because it shows how you should never give up and just because you can’t get one thing that you want doesn’t mean you can’t reach a different goal. After Roosevelt lost the presidential election in 1912 he set his eyes on one of his other passions, adventure. I believe that the purpose of this book was to show that Theodore Roosevelt wasn’t just a great president, but he was also a great explorer. It also shows the fight he had to not get discouraged after he lost the presidential election and to move on to other things. The amount of guts it took for him to want to explore such an unexplored place in the world is remarkable. This then teaches readers to not get discouraged just because you don’t get your way the first time doesn’t mean you give up and not try to succeed in a different way. I would most definitely recommend this book to another person to read. I am not always completely thrilled in having to read but this book was really good and kept me entertained and wondering what was going to happen next. This book is probably the best book I have read in a

This assignment taught me the importance of working hard to make sure you find out that the sources being used are credible so you know you are getting and using the correct information. There is one main thing I would’ve done differently if I had to do this assignment over again, that is I would choose a better research topic. By a better research topic I mean that I would choose a more popular topic so that there are more resources out there. I had to search pretty hard to find credible sources for my topic, the American museum of Natural

The novel Shatter Me written by Tahereh Mafi is foremost one of the best books that I have ever read in my existence. This amazing novel was really unpredictable as everything happened like a rollercoaster ride. However, it did have some drops throughout the book that I did not find amusing. The three main things that I personally adored about this novel was the idea, characters, and writing style. I really liked the idea of this novel as it was really eventful.…

The gap between those books is so large because Morris spent most of his time working on his memoir of Ronald Regan. “We have nothing to fear but fear itself.” This famous quote from Franklin D. Roosevelt, accurately describes FDR’s presidency and life. In Jonathan Alter’s book The Defining Moment: FDR’s Hundred Days and the Triumph of Hope, Alter describes how FDR reinvigorated a country at a vital time. Alter tells how FDR overcame obstacle after obstacle, from being diagnosed with polio in 1921 to a near assassination attempt in 1933, to enliven and revitalize a nation that was in desperation.…

Roosevelt created the Modern Presidency itself. He established many things in office that many others presidents weren’t able to accomplish. Gould said, “ Roosevelt prepared to take the reins of power.”…

Phase one: Before you read Before i actually get in to my reflection about the book i would like to tell you that the book i first told you is not the book i am doing right now. There were many reason i wasn't able to do that one, first of all i couldn't find the book anywhere i ask all the libraries and they all said that book is checked out in their systems, second reason was that the book was extremely long and i wouldn't be able to finish it, third reason was that the book is extremely boring i looked up a book summary online for it and i got so bored i almost fell asleep reading the summary. So now the book i have is The Bean Tree, now don't get me wrong i'm not saying that this book is NOT boring but its better than my first book. And last thing, i forgot to ask you if this book is okay to read, but i asked the libraries if either the setting is in Tucson or Arizona or the author live in Arizona or Tucson and they said yes sorry ahead of time.…

Too many elements were in play and it made it difficult to fit the pieces together. However, the more I read, the more it made sense. Not every detail Atwood presents is readily used, but I kept as many details as possible in the back of my head and some of the details were proved useful in understanding the later parts of the book. I had mixed feelings about how Atwood presents the story. On one hand, I liked how it encouraged me to really think about the situations in the book.…
