One of the first things you have to worry about it shock or electrocution. There are two ways you can be shocked, A/C or D/C. A/C stands for alternating current, it is the most dangerous because it can stop your heart and when shocked it can keep you from letting go of the cables that are shocking you. When getting shocked from an A/C current it is like getting punched multiple time and being shocked by a D/C current it is like being punched really hard one time. D/C stands for direct current because it does not alternate like A/C. If you had to choose one you would want to choose to get shocked by D/C because even though they can both kill you D/C does not cause as much damage as A/C. Another thing you have to worry about is the fumes from welding. Long exposure to these gases can cause serious health issues. These fumes and gases contain metal oxide compounds and base metal coatings which can very depending on what kind of metal you are welding on, some can be more dangerous than others. To avoid these fumes make sure you are in a well ventilated area or have exhaust to pull the fumes out. Besides the fumes and electrocution you also have to worry about fires and explosions. Fires can occur in many places when you are welding and also after you are welding. Things around you can catch fire from the sparks that come from you welding or a hot rod, so be careful where you put things. Another thing you
