Poverty Poverty is defined as the state or condition of having little or no money, goods, or support. There is poverty everywhere and not everyone knows what it is like to live in it. Not everybody gets access to health care, a home, a bed, food everyday, or even clothes. Poverty affects everyone and anyone. This is a big struggle all over the world and the rates are constantly increasing. Poverty lives everywhere, in big cities to small towns to across the country. There is quite a bit that can lead to Poverty. It can come from having little to no money, having no access to healthcare, a home, decent clothes, or food. Major factors that lead to poverty come from the lack of healthcare, taking out loans, the lack of education, social expenses, the environment you grew up in, your race, ethnicity, and many more. Poverty continues to grow and it continues to become a big issue. “The poor are slipping more deeply into poverty.” (332, Woolf) and humans need to help bring the poverty rates
