The rising cost of college is becoming unacceptably high for many families living in the United States making it almost unaffordable without taking on huge loans that are almost impossible to repay. Many people are in enormous debt due to student loans and they have very little income while having to deal with many other things in life. Many people usually drop out of college due to huge amounts of stress, or unaffordable lifestyles since many students make around or near minimum wage. I strongly believe that college is already unaffordable because of its high tuition costs and it usually requires some outside sources such as a student loan or scholarships to help pay for it. Many in the middle class can still afford it but even so it will change within the near future for all of us to a point where it is no longer affordable and it’ll become another luxury. For many students, it is such a huge financial drain on them that when some are asked for their opinion of the cost of tuition, many agreed that it was higher than it needed to be as they had to find some way to pay off tuition fees and many other expenses throughout the year.
