“Many members of society frequently question the motives, actions, and minds of criminals. Whether it be a slight passing thought of horror or a hint of fascination, the mysteries that crimes cause to arise are often left unanswered. This is especially true in criminals that simultaneously contribute to scientific advancement, yet leave tragedy in their wake. The human challenge that has only recently been pursued: serial killers. Questions of their psychological state have plagued scientists and psychologists for years, and have in fact done the same to nations around the globe. It is no secret that many of the convicted murderers have startling high IQs, and a common inquiry is asking why. Or how, for that matter. It baffles the minds of everyone how people considered so intelligent could make such heinous decisions, yet these felons have unintentionally led to their future demise.
