The Ring Nebula (M57) is found in the constellation, Lyra. It is one of the many beautiful nebulas that are found within our galaxy, the Milky Way. It was discovered by a French astronomer called Antoine Darquier de Pellepoix in January 1779. Weeks later, another French astronomer named Charles Messier discovered the nebula as well and recorded that it was made up of a group of dim stars.
