Even if I am faced with a horrible situation, I still have the choice to choose happiness or to choose despair and regret. The pursuit and journey of gaining happiness is offered to all. If I try my best, realize my blessings, and notice my supporters, then I can find a form of happiness and escape. True joy and happiness means that I have reached a part in my life where I love the person that I am and I am content with where I am in life currently. Liberty is the grandest of all the inalienable rights. I refuse to become a slave to anything, even if the consequence could be death. Better dead then enslaved and unhappy with the situation I am faced with each day. I am willing to give up the offered joys of life as long as I have the freedom to become and behave the way that I want to be. Not being able to behave as I choose and constantly being demanded to complete jobs would not be the preferred life for me. Not possessing liberty does not just mean that I can possibly be a physical slave; I can also be a slave to emotion, a slave to addiction, or even a slave to work.
