“I’m Betty Clay. I write Inspirational Scrolls.”
“Balony,” the young man alarmed, and he refused to shake her hand as a man and woman in food-soiled McDonald’s uniform looked at him with a sense of distaste.
He said, “I have a hundred of your kinda garbage at my place; they mean zilch!”
Betty Clay rubbed her hand down her hanging hair and momentarily leaned in the direction of the young man. “You don’t like this life—do you?”
A young girl, sitting in a seat behind and accompanied by her mother, smirked.
The young man replied. “If you ask me, there’s no reason for…” He stopped momentarily, but as if he was pushed by a lover to reveal his dearest secret, he continued nonetheless. “I believe I just told you I’m going to think. I’ve tried everything. I’m a total…”
Detecting the bad energy coming, Betty Clay lifted her index finger and placed it near her lips. She could not allow the young man’s words to poison her world or that of the other people on the bus who were quickly beginning to eavesdrop on the talk between the two. “I know where you’re heading,” she interrupted. “No need to go there.”
“I go where I want.”

The 10 pillars of wealth. Alex Becker The reason i have choose this book is because it seem interesting the way Alex Becker explains the way how to get wealthy is beyond what other people would talk about although it would be hard and tiring to work it will pay off in the future. Five facts that I learned in this book is that it is hard to become a wealthy person in the future because you have to have a good job that pays good money and you are going to work for a while to get enough money for the future and you have to make sure that the business does not go out nor you do not get fired. The second thing that I have learned from this book is to map out actions that achieve goals in order to become wealthy you got to have a plan for the future that you know that you will get paid a lot of money or not a lot as long as you do not go crazy with it and spending it on stuff you do not need more than thing you do need water, food, etc.…

I think the most obvious way Jason copes with his own and his family’s former prominence is to assert his own power over Caddy, Dilsey, and Luster. He is able to control Caddy not only because he is stronger then her, but he is exploiting Caddy’s desire to see her daughter for personal financial gain. He is able to control Dilsey and Luster racially and financially because he is a white man and provides for them. He exerted his power over Dilsey by threatening her and racially oppressing her. I think that Jason threw his power around to cope with his loss because it allowed him to feel like even though he may not be seen as societally important or prominent, he was still more powerful then them.…

As a bildungsroman, Black Swan Green traces Jason’s maturing through his journey to distinguish and accept reality from appearances, during which he gradually uncovers bits of truth about himself, about the people around him, and about the world. Many characters’ appearances in the book do not reflect who they really are; some characters simply seem unreal; some characters mask their true identity, including Jason Taylor himself, who is constantly trying to reveal only aspects of himself and in search for the right appearance throughout the novel. Many of these characters’ real personas are eventually revealed, because-- in reality--one is not capable of choosing what identity to put on and has no control over who he or she really is. “You…

Living a life is not a simple thing to do. When living, a person must submerge himself or herself entirely into the life he or she lives. He or she must indulge in all aspects of life, and unquestionably look beyond what is only apparent of him or her. Euripides’s ancient Greek tragedy Medea renowned itself as a play that truly dwells into the depths of human actions and psychology. It provides the reader with an insight into the lustful and often abusive nature of men as well as the hardships faced by women during those times. Ultimately, both the adaptation of Medea by Robinson Jeffers and the translation by Diane Svarlien revolve around a central theme: Jason abandons Medea for another woman. After being abandoned, Medea seeks what she believes to be a necessary comeuppance. Although the theme of each play remains the same, the characters themselves are depicted entirely different.…
