The Revolutionary War was terribly hard for the Patriots. They were short on supplies and men. The British were the greatest army in the world at the time. They had all the supplies and the men they needed.

The Continental Army couldn't have won without France. They supplied the Rebels with weapons, food, and al the materials they were short on. France even supplied them with men from their own army. In Yorktown, the French blocked the British ships from giving General Cornwallis. It gave the Continental Army a chance to block Cornwallis' escape on the land. They also blocked Cornwallis to escape into the sea. This caused the war to end and the Rebels to win.

The Continental Army had a willpower that the British's side didn't have.
