For an example, Parliament wanted to halt business that competed with businesses in the mother country, so they tried to restrict the flow of paper money in America. Some other examples of acts that caused the chaos was The Wool Act, Hat Act, Iron Act, and the Navigation Act. These were all ways the British Parliament tried to decrease the amount of cash flow in America so they could help themselves regain the debt they encountered during the Seven Years War, and enrich the mother country as a whole.
