The only artificial addition to the work is the grizzly bear which, nonetheless, did little to take away the impeccable acting flair of Glass (played by Leonardo DiCaprio). Critics have expressed the opinion that for an actor with a knack for good execution in scenes that involve a lot of speaking, DiCaprio’s action in the Revenant—which grips more with his action than anything else—was in every way worthy of a Best Actor Academy Award for received for the role of Hugh Glass (Tallerico, 2015). It was only fitting, therefore, that DiCaprio bagged the award at the 88th Annual Academy Awards. Tom Hardy’s performance as the character of John Fitzgerald and Will Poulter’s execution of Jim Brigder were also commended along with the Innaritu’s
