Alcoholism is something no one wants to live with due to the impending dome which surrounds the alcoholic as time passes, day by day, week to week, a month of drunken hysteria to years of devastation passed on to the family and friends due to the alcoholic’s behavior. Rare is the family who does not separate from the alcoholic; for, too many events occur which creates devastation of the bills and becomes plain nuisance to the community. The disease of alcoholism which this man or woman has cast upon himself generally losses all they love. In their state of drunkenness the spouse, children, friends, parents and siblings push them away. The separation of the family or the continued despair is inevitable; therefore, the ill member of the family faces the loss of employment, freedom and sanity. The family and friends are emotionally, mentally and many time physically injured due to the recklessness of the alcoholic.
