Observation from the video depicts all the horrors of Roman crucifixion, and the horrible ways one could die from it. The analysis in the video however conclude that Jesus on the cross actually dies from congestive heart failure; this is later examined by a doctor in the video as he is able to graphically give major detail regarding John’s account of how Jesus was treated prior to the crucifixion. The video then concludes that Jesus did in fact die, and could not have survived. It then goes on to detail the disciples in hiding from everyone after the death of Jesus. The disciples had a very difficult weekend because they had lost their Messiah, and now were scattered among each other; but then it happened. The disciples were visited by the resurrected Jesus Christ and of course the Bible then goes on to tell of the crusade from Christ. It’s interesting to point out, as it was in the video, that the disciples really had nothing to gain from lying about the resurrection of Jesus. These men had no earthly reward to gain, took beatings and where thrown in jail for their belief in the risen Savior. One must ask themselves, would the disciples really risk their lives on something they simply imaged up or …show more content…
The people other than Jesus’ followers believed His resurrection to be a fraud. This same thought has been echoed centuries later and even today. From here we move to the wonderful world of science and the Shroud. The Shroud appears to be an ordinary piece of hand woven fabric that measures 14ft 3in long and 3 feet 7 inches wide; in additional, it was almost destroyed by a fire in 1532. There are diamond shaped patches that cover the holes of that fabric. Many from that point had actually seen the Shroud, however no one was allowed to touch it. This appeared to be the case until the late 1970’s when a group of scientist, called the Shroud of Turin Research Project, would be granted 5 days to run physical test on the Shroud. During the testing, it was interesting to learn that they performed what was called a Carbon-14 test; this was a test to try to pinpoint the exact time period that this Shroud came into existence. After the test however, it appeared that the test results placed the Shroud’s existence in the Middle Ages; conversely, dispelling any idea that it was a first century burial cloth. Later on however, it would be discovered that the test that was ran was not accurate because they found another piece of potential fabric woven
