On behalf of the proposal track, the clinical/counseling issues were well-related in today’s society. Teen pregnancy is a world-wide issue among young female individuals. Generally, teen pregnancy is held within a female under the age of 20. During this time, teens (adolescences) reach physical and sexual maturity, along with intellectual and psychosocial changes. Individuals develop more reasoning abilities and make decisions related to their future adult plan. The sample within the specific issue are the teenagers or adolescences, aging anywhere from 11 (beginning of their period) to 20 years old.
The issue with teen pregnancy is the health risks for the baby and the teenage mother. Suffering from health, social, and emotional problems …show more content…
The MTV‘s 16 and pregnant show is a hour long series focuses on the challenging role of adolescent pregnancy. It is seen as an entertainment-education program for teens to understand the process of a pregnancy. Learning the consequences (positive and negative) and observing other’s mistakes can alter own actions to avoid receiving similar negative consequences. Adolescent girl’s complete surveys after watching the TV show on teen pregnancy. It was found that girls learned more about the process and the after facts of pregnancy. Society issues related to teen pregnancy consist of poverty, unmarried statuses, low educational levels, smoking, drug use, prenatal care, school dropouts, being the victim of abuse and neglect, and unemployed. Care facilities, and local institutions such as schools and churches are important agencies in attend to receive valuable information about adolescent pregnancy and other risky actions.
